Table Tumors — A VR operating-room race — scan your alien patient, read the x-ray, and heal their interstellar tumors before the clock runs out.

Overview

Table Tumors is a VR surgery game built for the 2022 Global Game Jam on the Oculus Quest. Race against the clock, using your scanner and medical syringes to find and heal interstellar tumors inside your alien patient.

The twist is a duality of x-ray viewing: you have to line up what you see through the scanner with the body on the table — and avoid mistreating the patient, or you'll only cause more harm.

My Role

Built over the jam weekend at the Pittsburgh GGJ (online in 2022), I handled programming and Unity tech — building the VR interactions, the scanner/x-ray mechanic, and the treat-or-harm scoring on the Quest. We took on the 'Be Visionary' diversifier sponsored by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
